Lea Salonga Among TIME100 Impact Awardees

The renowned and successful singer-actress Lea Salonga has been selected by Time Magazine for their TIME 100 Impact Awardees list. She was inducted for her outstanding broadway work in the Philippines and abroad.

Time Magazine’s writeup on Filipina singer Lea Salonga was very impressive. They called her the "Voice of Walt Disney Princesses" and a "role model for children of color."

Lea Salonga, who voiced Mulan and Jasmine, is just one of the many people who find joy in sharing their talents with others, especially kids. She also shares her joy of singing on broadway and inspiring kids to pursue their dreams through her ‘Lea Salonga Online Workshop’ which she did back in 2021.

TIME Magazine also noted how Lea's performance in Miss Saigon won her a Tony Award in 1989, proving that talent can be found all over the world.

Apart from Lea Salonga, there are also many other well-known artists like singer Ellie Goulding, actress Sarah Jessica Parker, actor Keanu Reeves, and Black Eyed Pea’s frontman Will.i.am included on this list.
