Was Mateo Right For Calling Out Alex Gonzaga’s Jokes?

Mateo Guidicelli calls out Alex Gonzaga’s jokes on National TV on Thursday, August 11.

In previous episodes, Gonzaga had been teasing Mateo with Laboching, one of the LOL hosts, and joking about his exes and mentioning Maja Salvador. Thus leading to a confrontation on live TV.

Mateo, 32, is married to popstar Sarah Geronimo and Alex, 34, is married to Councilor Michael Morada of Lipa City.

In the said episode, Mateo expressed his feelings towards Alex Gonzaga’s teasing saying, “May konting mensahe po ako sa tropang LOL, especially sa’yo Alex. Napanaginipan ko ito kagabi at nagpray ako, na tigilan na natin ang magbiro sa mga asawa natin kay konsehal at sa asawa ko dahil mga ‘ex’ na yan eh. Kagabi umiyak na talaga ako dahil sa’yo. Nasasaktan ako para sa asawa ko. I-respeto na lang natin ang mga asawa natin,” said Matteo.

Matteo also added a joke to end the statement with a laugh pointing at Gonzaga’s toenails to divert the awkwardness saying, “Mag-usap nalang tayo tungkol sa, koko mo!”

Matteo and Alex joked about their exes in previous LOL episodes. In their younger years, Matteo was with actress Maja Salvador; while Alex with Keane Cepriano.

After the controversial episode, Guidecelli and Gonzaga was trending on social media. Making the video viral with millions of shares.
